Lavender Hill Farm is one of those places that just stops you in your tracks. Tucked away in Boyne City, it’s the kind of property that feels endless. There are so many scenic places for portraits...rows of lavender, wildflower patches and tall sunflower fields. Plus, thea barns are full of that rustic character and vintage charm. It is really a dreamy place.
Weddings here feel like Northern Michigan. It’s always a joy to photograph at Lavender Hill Farms.
The Rockwell Lake Lodge

Set right on the lake, the Rockwell Lodge is peaceful and has that classic Northern Michigan feel. Quiet lakeside views, tall trees, and a place for everyone. Your wedding party, family, and friends can stay right on site and feel at home, with no need to leave the venue.
Couples often choose the Lake View lawn for their ceremony, with the expanse of Rockwell Lake as the backdrop. Inside, the vaulted-ceiling Great Room is a favorite during the colder months, with wide windows, exposed beams, and a stone fireplace.
There are endless spots for portraits around the property, and the whole space feels simple, natural, and beautiful.
The Homestead

Nestled right on the shores of Lake Michigan, the Homestead in Glen Arbor is one of the most iconic places to get married in Northern Michigan.
There are so many options here for ceremonies and portraits—up on the mountain (you can take the chairlift!), right on the beach, or in the gorgeous fields of wildflowers. Receptions are just as flexible, with spots like Camp Firefly, Café Manitou, and the Flower Mountain Lodge offering different settings to fit your day.
One of the best parts is that your family and friends can stay right on site. From cozy condos to larger spaces, there’s room for everyone, which makes the whole weekend feel connected and easy. The Homestead is a classic Northern Michigan location and always a joy to photograph.
